New Cars Launches in 2012

2012 Tata Nano Launched, Is More Powerful

Tata Motors has officially introduced the 2012 Nano, which gets a slight update to the engine, new colours, new interiors and an improved fuel economy of 25.4 kmpl (from the earlier 23.6 kmpl). The company has not hiked the price and the 2012 Tata Nano is priced at the same Rs. 1.40 lakhs for the Nano Standard, Rs. 1.70 lakhs for the Nano CX and Rs. 1.96 lakhs for the Nano LX (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The power is now increased from 35 PS to 38 PS and the torque has been increased from 48 Nm to 51 Nm. Tata Motors claims that the car has the lowest CO2 emission (92.7 gm/km) among cars in India. The top speed is still limited to 105 kmph and the car is available with 4-years / 60,000 kms warranty.

Next Generation Bajaj Pulsar Spotted

The next generation Bajaj Pulsar has been spotted finally, undergoing tests around Bajaj’s factory in Pune. However, the Pulsars spotted are not the 200cc version but probably the 135LS. This is because the bike looks alot like the current P135LS. On close observation, the monoshocks can be seen, which is the first for any Bajaj bike. The KTM logo is very much present on the bike (probably the next generation Pulsar range will have the Duke 125′s engine in the entry level Pulsar, instead of a 135cc engine). The lack of disc brakes at the rear only confirms the spied Bajaj Pulsar to be a less than 150cc motorcycle. Other visible changes are the front fender, headlight, rank, alloy wheels (same as the Duke 125), grab rails and tail lights.
