The car have no exhaust pipe (zero emission ) , the other electrical essential equipment are powered by the separate 12V battery. there are 48 lithium ion battery module with four battery cells inside each module. These are used to power the motor of the car. The leaf Breaks are regenerative. this means that when we apply the brake or releasing off the accelerator, then motor work as generator.
the Car is powered by the light weight and small 80kW (108 Bhp) AC electric motor ,which can run for175 KM per charge. and give a torque of 280 Nm.
